At the origin of these “mi-cuit” is a desire: “I wanted to highlight the clay brick which is a very old material and which paradoxically appears as an alternative for tomorrow, because of its unique thermal properties as well as the small amount of energy required for its production,” says Ludovic Falédam, the designer of the project.

So he called the company Josse: a French company with a living heritage and its exceptional know-how, which proposed its uniquely shaped bricks. “I liked the idea of transforming building materials, these ‘mi-cuit’ are in a way nano architectures.”

“Diverting these materials from their original function allows us to give them a new look, putting in light something that we usually tend to hide: the structure of the walls, the passages of cables or pipes, so I hope to revalue these materials and the know-how that goes with them.”

They obtain from this original recipe a lamp that is hard and tender, raw and delicate. Raw because of its materials left as they are and delicate thanks to the care taken to the assembly as well as to its color of tempered camel.
