Pluto is a sustainable floor lamp made with paper mache and natural wood designed to illuminate with modern style and be an eye-catcher in the decoration of any interior. Ideal to place in a corner of the home, even directing the light towards the wall.

Materials

For the lampshades of these sustainable floor lamps, recycled pulped newspapers and water-based glue are used using the ancient paper mache technique. Then, this is dyed with natural pigments. The paper mache ensures the robustness and resistance of these unique lamps. They use natural wood for the lamp base.

A two-meter textile cable is used to connect the lamp to the power source. It’s available in yellow, white, blue or black and white color. Pluto floor lamps use only up to 20W LED light bulbs with E27 termination (not included). Sustainable lamp color and the color or length of the cable can be customized by request.

Design features

These sustainable pendant lamps refer to the planet Pluto and belong to a collection made up of two lamps: the floor lamp and the Pluto pendant  lamp. The internal structure of this planet consists of a dense core of rocks surrounded by a layer of ice. Its orbit lengthens and when Pluto is closer to the Sun, the temperature rises and causes the ice to sublime into gas. While this phenomenon is the one that inspires the design of the Pluto pendant lamp, the story behind the floor lamps embodies this phenomenon in reverse. As Pluto recedes from the Sun, its atmosphere gradually freezes and falls to the ground. For this reason, the floor version has a more solid and thick layer of paper mache than the pendant version.

The dark blue color of its lampshade creates a calm, sophisticated and sober atmosphere. A perfect pendant lamp for a timeless, delicate and exclusive decoration.
