Description

The Kalimantan wall lamp is made of bamboo, is biodegradable and handmade.
Bamboo is a strong, flexible and fast-growing plant. Once cut new shoots grow back easily from the roots. It can be harvested in 3-5 years. A bamboo plant produces 35% more oxygen than a tree and is grown without pesticides or chemical fertilizers. Bamboo has many uses including construction, food, fuel and clothing. The bamboo used for this lamp is grown, harvested and hand woven on one location in Vietnam, providing work and income for the local community.
