Description

Bambu Cloud’s sustainable lamps were first launched in 2008 as part of the Spiral Islands installation of lights and matching sofas. It was inspired by the clouds that David saw settling over small islands throughout the Pacific Ocean, which were used by Polynesian sailors to find islands from afar. Cloud lights used to be made from frosted plastic, but were later discontinued due to the negative environmental impact of the material.

Now Cloud has been given a second chance thanks to a new material. The new version is made almost entirely of bamboo plywood applied to the same strips or rings. This allows light to shine through and offers a similar visual lightness to the previous translucent plastic version.

Intended for dry interior spaces.

Set includes suspension cables, cord and bulb holder (and ceiling canopy for North American orders).
