Description

The Tuvalu floor lamp is made of bamboo, is biodegradable and handmade.
Bamboo is a strong, flexible and fast growing plant. Once cut, new shoots easily grow back from the roots. It can be harvested in 3-5 years. A bamboo plant produces 35% more oxygen than a tree and is grown without pesticides or chemical fertilisers. Bamboo has many uses, including construction, food, fuel and clothing.
The bamboo used for this lamp is grown, harvested and woven by hand at a single site in Vietnam, providing work and income for the local community.
