Dein Beitrag zur Nachhaltigkeit: 100%

The concept of the Timba ecological table was formed by watching the drying process of the Galician pine boards. These, when they lose moisture, twist and open up, like gaps in the wood. The idea of this model is to voluntarily and artificially create these cuts, deciding where to make them, and that in turn serve as a hook for the legs or supports of the same, showing how we influence the wood. Turning the cracks into a functional element while still showing the essence of the wood. The Timba table top rests on a base formed by four 10 mm thick rectangular metal legs, oven-lacquered, symmetrically positioned and mirrored. This is a 100% customizable product, both in the type of wood and in the measurements and type of base.

GALICIAN PINE / PINUS PINASTER AIT

Tree of medium size that reaches, usually, 20 m. of height. In the beginning, it is straight and clean of branches, which appear from two-thirds of its height.

Yellowish white in the sapwood and yellowish reddish in the heartwood. Annual rings visibly show the naked eye by the contrast between spring and summer zones, giving a characteristic grain quite apparent to this wood.

Its bark is thick, black, cracked with reddish colors, its grain is medium to coarse, and its grain is straight, interrupted due to knots and other defects.

AUSTALIAN ACACIA / ACACIA AMELANOXYLION

Of Australian origin, it is a fast-growing tree, dark in color, with angular branches covered with fine, soft hairs.

It is a tree within the species of the acacias with longer life, and that forms a super resistant wood and with much durability.

Its wood has different pigments that make it dark, can reach 15 to 40 meters, and its color is grayish-green, with a slightly rough appearance and has species of ditches longitudinally.

Acacia melanoxylon or black acacia wood tends to be of variable colors and can be medium brown or reddish-gold. We can also find bands of color in the growth rings; it is also not uncommon to come across acacia melanoxylon wood with stripes that have color and in the form of ribbons,

It has attractive characteristics such as a very dark brown color and a beautiful grain.

PORTUGAL CYPRESS / C U P R E S S S U S  L U S I T A N I C A

The name C. Lusitanica or Portuguese Cypress comes from a clone. It is unknown whether native to India or Mexico, cultivated in Portugal around 1634, in the monastery of Buçaco, near Coimbra; these trees were already about 130 years old when Miller botanically described the species in 1768.

It has a straight trunk of 1.5 to 2m in diameter, reddish-brown bark in young specimens and grayish-whitish in centennial specimens.

Cypress wood is quality wood, with beautiful shades and grain, semi-hard and durable.

Its color varies from pale yellow to brown heartwood, while its sapwood is lighter. Its grain is straight but with irregularities depending on the number of knots.

The bases can be based on materials such as :
